Saman Karim

Saman Karim joined Hannouche Associates in 2015 and leads the firm’s Dispute Resolution practice in Erbil. With over 15 years of experience, he is recognized as one of the leading litigators in Iraq.

His practice focuses on Civil, Commercial, Penal, and Administrative litigation, with additional expertise in Tax, Energy, Public, and Intellectual Property Law. Saman represents major regional and international corporations before local and international courts, including high-profile cases involving governmental authorities.

He is also experienced in advising clients on tax structuring in Iraq and has acted as an Iraqi Law expert before international courts.

Saman is fluent in Kurdish, Arabic, and Turkish, with working knowledge of English. He holds both an LL.B. and LL.M. from Cihan University (2011) and is a member of the Iraq Bar Association.
